Brannatura is a food and ingredient innovation company that transfers the goodness of nature into delicious and sustainable products. We work on clean-label solutions for excellent functionality, nutrition and safety, usung the most sustainable raw materials and by-products with minimum environmental impact. Having that modern mindset, we offer our customers ready-to-tailor product and ingredient concepts as well as science consultancy services in the food innovation area.

our current focus

... lies in the field of natural antimicrobials that are extracted from agrifood by-products, thereby reducing food waste resulting from spoilage and presence of pathogenic bacteria. To this purpose, we have been granted funds from GUDP to create novel natural antimicrobial solutions that improve shelf-life and safety of high environmental impact food, such as meat, but that also provide natural and clean label means for assuring safety of new developments in the plant-based area. This work takes place in the Grønholdbar project in collaboration with Business Academy Aarhus, Crispy Food A/S, Hørkram Foodservice A/S and Nordic Seed A/S.

But of course our innovation track record since we started in 2017 led to many other new-to-the-market product and ingredient innovations that are waiting to be commercialized, including highly nutritious liquid and instant plant drinks and several improved plant protein ingredients. We will not do this ourselves, but are always on the lookout for partners interested in bringing these to the market. Please check the Concepts section for that.
